If band trips count, the 1980 national field show championship in St. Pete.

Went on dozens of band trips in HS -- we were a competitive traveling unit. But this one was via airline instead of creeping on the buses, which was a major treat. Only downside was we expected to win, but finished 4th -- just out of the medals. But I won't let that happenstance sully the trip.
